Full Title: Link x Reader: Ten Stages of Love ~Proposal~ (10/10)

"Link, I'm getting pretty tired of having to close my eyes every time you have a surprise for me," (Y/n) jokes as Link helps her of his horse, Epona. She can almost feel him roll his eyes playfully, covering her eyes with his hands.

"It wouldn't be special if you didn't, now would it?" She laughs, replying,

"I guess you're right."

A couple seconds later, Link removes his hands, telling (Y/n) to open her eyes. When she does, she confused to see that they're in Ordon Spring. The sunset is mostly red, reminding her of an old tale*. The fairies seem to dance in the air above the water, illuminating it and creating a mystical look. The falls provide the soothing sound that she always loves.

"Why are we here?" Link instantly blushes, scratching the back of his neck nervously before clearing his throat.

"Well, wh-what's special a-about this place?" Thinking for a second, she answers,

"This was where we had our first date." Link nods shyly.

"I-It's a milestone in our relationship. A-And I want it to be another one." She gives him an intrigued look.

"What are you talking about?" Link takes a deep breath.

"(Y/n), these past three years have been some of the best years of my life. You give me more courage than my Triforce ever could, and you bring out the best in me. I can only hope that I do the same for you. Every second I'm with you, I fall even more in love with you...and I want to experience that for the rest of my life." (Y/n) gasps.

"Link..." He gets down on one knee, pulling out a beautiful diamond ring on a gold band, two (favorite gem)s on each side of the crystal in the middle.

"Will you make me the luckiest man in the world...and be my wife?" (Y/n)'s hands cover her mouth, tears gathering in the corners of her eyes, and she tackles Link into a hug, knocking them both to the sandy floor.

"Yes!" She exclaimed. "Yes, yes, a thousand times yes!!" Link sighs in relief, and hugs her back tightly as his own vision grows misty.

"I love you, (Y/n)." (Y/n) pulls away a bit, giving Link a sweet, heart-warming kiss before whispering,

"I love you, too."

*That's a subtle Kingdom Hearts reference. "You see, light is made up of lots of colors. And out of all those colors, red is the one that travels the farthest." -Axel

Aw, congratulations~! You are now engaged!!
